WAGS Volunteers Scheme

2022 has seen the implementation of our new Volunteer Scheme. We are delighted to welcome 30 new Volunteers to our fundraising team from across Wiltshire, Avon, Gloucestershire and Somerset.

WAGS MASCOT – ELMO

On December 18th 2017 Five year old Police Dog Elmo sadly died unexpectedly from illness, he had a stomach torsion and twisted spleen. Known as Team Black Dog, Elmo worked alongside his handler our Chair Andrew and PD Jake in Avon & Somerset. Elmo on the Reginal criminal work shield in 2016 and 2017. Elmo was the overall Phase 3 Winner of Obedience and Criminal Work Champion in the National Police Dog Trials in 2017.

To honour the memory of Elmo we would like to introduce you to our mascot Elmo
